Workshop for Fiction Writters Comes to End

Thursday March 20, 2008 was the end of the first workshop given by Steven Havill. It was a great pleasure in having Mr. Havill host this exciting Workshop for Fiction Writers. Not only did he inspire the group, he made the class fun and interesting.

Arthur Johnson Memorial Library would like to thank all the participants that attended the workshop. This class uncovered a lot of hidden talent from the Raton and Trinidad area. I personally can’t wait to read their completed works and hopefully one day display that work here in our library.

Due to the success of the first workshop, Mr. Havill has agreed to host at least two more workshops, one to begin on April 17, 2008 for fiction writers. Sign up begins on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. The second will be held some time in August for advanced fiction writers and will be open to those who have completed a previous workshop held by Mr. Havill. Official date for this workshop will be announced at a later date.
